A wonderful tale of friendship, adventure and misadventure to make you smile all day.

probably rates as one of the very best reads of all time. Witty,at time so hillarious that you shed tears and have to stop reading to ease the pains in the stomach. I read Rosie first when it was first released. I have reread it many times since and the effect is always the same. Others to whom I have loaned the book agree..consequently my copy tends to go 'walkabout' and I have to rebuy.
Do your soul a favour and read Rosie, you wont regret it.

This was not the book I wanted. I wanted the original Lawrence Durrell book, not a children's edition. There was no hint that this would be a children's book. I am very disappointed and feel I was not properly informed.

Very amusing. The characters are hilarious and have some fantastic names. Who can ever forget a male character called Ethelbert Cleep, who says quite proudly - My friends call me Ethel.
